Thank you for your response. You ask some valuable questions that are worthy of further investigations. While many studies have been conducted, and some of them comparative analysis on a variety of chemicals, no study has rendered conclusive results as to the main culprit of Colony Collapse Disorder. The two documentaries I mention in the article elude to the dismissal of signals from cellular phones as a likely cause. Yet, all the literature and documentaries I explored concede that while there are a myriad of viable theories as to what has caused CCD, there is no definitive data pinpointing one single factor. I personally think a comparative analysis of commercial beekeeping practices versus holistic beekeeping practices would be extremely beneficial as well. Good luck with your investigation; perhaps you will be able to share some enlightening information on the topic that currently has the scientific community stumped.

There are two promising things the legislation aims to do which is to make it illegal for insurance companies to refuse provisions to individuals with pre-exisiting conditions and to provide affordable healthcare options to those who may not be able to purchase insurance if they are not eligible through an employer (or their employer does not provide it).

Granted, I have not read the entire legislation, but having been a healthcare employee for over a decade now, I can say that if this legislation is handled judiciously, it does promise to reduce the overall cost of healthcare in America. It has this potential because it will make healthcare more accessible to those who now do not utilize it for preventative maintenance. Therefore, people without healthcare generally tend to wait until they are seriously ill and end up in the ER. At this point, they will present with a costly illness and may not have the means to pay the ER/hospital bills. Essentially, the healthcare system (and eventually the tax payer) is left eating the cost.

Also, in theory, providing options also has the potential to make the healthcare insurance industry more competitive, thereby driving down costs.

Americans Lose Constitution & Country To New Fascist Legislation

Almost every week there are published news accounts of Police Corruption, e.g. Police taking bribes, aiding & smuggling illegal drugs, robbing drug-dealers and committing perjury. ALERT! Perjury by police and their informants may now pose the greatest threat to Americans’ Freedom due to Congress in December 2011 passing (NDAA) The National Defense Authorization ACT of 2012. Under (NDAA) Government does not need probable cause or corroborating evidence to Indefinitely Detain Americans without charges, no right to an attorney, trial or Habeas Corpus; Police that falsify reports and give perjured testimony can now cause innocent Americans to be swept off the street and indefinitely incarcerated for being a suspected terrorist or supporting Terrorism: Note no violent act is required to be charged with involvement in terrorism under (NDAA).

If that is not scary enough, Congress is now considering HR 3166 and S. 1698 also known as the “Enemy Expatriation Act” sponsored by Joe Lieberman (I-CT) and Charles Dent (R-PA) that would let Government Strip Your Citizenship Without a Conviction. Once an American’s Citizenship is stripped they have no rights whatsoever. Currently there are several Multi-State Recall Petitions of Congressman that voted for The National Defense Authorization ACT of 2012.

Some observers believe NDAA included the vague term “Belligerent” in the manner it did, so U.S. Government would have authority granted by Congress to Indefinitely Detain large numbers of Americans not involved in terrorism. Under NDAA, U.S. Government can deem anyone a “Belligerent” for indefinite detention. The term “Belligerent” is so expansive and vague an American Citizen could be labeled a “Belligerent” for exercising First Amendment Rights—speaking out for or against any issue; protesting a U.S. Government Policy; agency or coalition Partner. It is foreseeable U.S. Government will threaten Americans with Indefinite Detention that refuse to act as informants. The East German Stasi Police used this tactic to create an army of neighborhood and other informants.

The passed (Defense Authorization Act of 2012) appears more threatening to Americans than (Hitler’s FASCIST 1933 Discriminatory LAWS) that suspended provisions in the Reich Constitution that Protected German Citizens’ Civil Liberties? For example—Hitler’s 1933 DISCRIMINATORY LAWS (stated fines and time limits) that German Citizens could be incarcerated for e.g., Serious Disturbance of the Peace, Provoking Public Unrest, Rioting; Acts that threatened National Security. In contrast Senators John McCain and Carl Levin’s passed National Defense Authorization Act of 2012—mandates holding Americans’ (Indefinitely) in Military Custody for being a mere “Belligerent.”
Under the passed National Defense Authorization, could some Americans (Retroactively) be subject to Indefinite U.S. Military or Prison Detention without charges or right to an attorney or trial? Consider most American activists don’t know what other activists and groups they networked or associated did in the past—perhaps illegal. Both the National Authorization Act of 2012 and USA Patriot Act are expansive and vague—what constitutes (1) supporting or aiding terrorists, (2) a terrorist act; (3) when someone is a “Combatant” or (4) “a Belligerent.” For example, Americans advocating, attending or supporting a meeting or protest demonstration against a U.S. Government Agency; Policy or U.S. Military Action—could be charged with (1) (2) (3) and (4) under NDAA and the Patriot Act.

History Repeats: When other countries passed Police State Laws like The Defense Authorization Act of 2012, Citizens increasingly abstained from politically speaking out; visiting activist websites or writing comments that might be deemed inappropriate by their Police State Government, e.g. cause someone to lose their job; be investigated; disappeared and or detained in Police/Military Custody. Some writers might be dead-meat under NDAA. It appears that “Americans” who write on the Internet or verbally express an opinion against any entity of U.S. Government or its coalition partners—may under the Patriot Act or The Defense Authorization Act—be deemed by U.S. Government (someone likely to engage in, support or provoke violent acts or threaten National Security) to order an American writer’s indefinite military or prison detention.

Is NDAA Retroactive? Can U.S. Government invoke provisions of NDAA or the Patriot Act to assert a U.S. Citizen’s past or current writings (protected by the 1st Amendment) supported or aided terrorists, provoked combatants or belligerents as a premise to order an author’s Indefinite Detention? The Defense Authorization Act of 2012 did more than Chill Free Speech—it may FREEZE IT! Consider: In mid-January 2012 Homeland Security announced the National Operations Center (NOC) received permission from Washington to monitor journalists and retain data on users of social media and online networking platforms. Could this Homeland Security spying, tracking Americans result in Citizens abstaining from visiting and posting comments on websites? It should be expected that indefinitely detained U.S. Citizens not involved in terrorism or hostile activities, not given Miranda Warnings when interrogated or allowed legal counsel; will also be prosecuted for non-terrorist (ordinary crimes) because of their (alleged admissions) while held in Indefinite Detention.

Consider this, perhaps Israel and Iran should embrace M.A.D. The acronym stands for Mutually Assured Destruction, a cold war strategy from the 1950′s. As “crazy” as that sounds, it has kept the world from total annihilation for 60 years. The US and the Soviets were no less distrustful of each other than Israel and any of its neighbours. Same is the case between Pakistan and India, who now also disclose the location and launch status of each others nuclear sites.

As a rule, I am inclined to believe the alternative “view” – most especially when it comes to politic mischief. In this case however, I find it hard to believe that this is not just another example of yet another politician with a “zipper problem” (to paraphrase our former NYC Mayor Ed Koch referring to then Pres. Clinton ) and an over inflated view of DSK’s value and self importance in the world.

Besides … for the cost of that $3,000 per night hotel suite, he could have hired a “brigade” of street walkers to parade in front of him as a chamber maid and do his all bidding … whatever that may be.

So now he is free on bail – $1 million cash – and spending $200,000 per month on accommodations and court mandated security. Not bad for a “Socialist”.

I ask you, are all French Socialists so very well (financially speaking) endowed?

DSK is a very good man, maybe the most honest person in the world political arena today!! and the most capable too!
No way he did what he did except maybe for having an affair but this is HIS business and his wife’s, not for the public to care!
This is a plot against an honest man by the US (gov), Russia and /or Sarkozy. Actually, many people wanted to see him gone.

Racial profiling is a big deal here. She can’t have a beer with the dudes because this whole incident was totally blown out of proportion by the dudes and then by the mainstream press in a cascade like fashion. The press often acts like a pack of jackals transforming one occurrence into a totally different one. This is what happened here and I applaud you for reminding us that perhaps there’s a bigger teachable moment here.

Thank you for your reply Exavier. I believe that Gaddafi will stay in power. Western governments are delaying the ‘no-fly zone’ policy which is enabling Gaddafi’s forces to bomb rebel held areas. The Arab League has stated that the West must intervene but our governemts are not doing anything. Slowly and surely, Gaddafi will regain control of the country.

Johnny Law called and says he doesn’t care what your attracted to as long as you treat it well. Balance is the nature of your beast. In a balanced system it would seem that after one follows the next good and bad attract each other or you could look at it like a rolling ball. One point on top is in the sky doing well the opposite is on the ground smashed under the weight the gravity instills. Now the world in a similar fashion does this with the Sun. As some of us bathe in the comforts of the light shining on us the opposing end of the world sleeps in darkness. The creatures and people of the night out taking care of the world while its people slumber. We have to have balance. Always remember the importance of balance. If your having a hot streak and feel great be appreciative of it, it won’t be around forever and when it is gone, you’ll see it again.
