Like the protagonist in Ray Bradbury’s 1953 novel Fahrenheit 451, I too have become disillusioned with all the hedonistic and unthinking belligerent society the US is caving into to. While the current and most recent U.S. government administrations have not promoted the burning of books, it has in fact sublimely chipped away at the personal liberties we all often take for granted and that many of us have already forgotten.
When otherwise not indisposed at my “day job”, I am a freelance and ghost writer.

Is TomTom selling your driving habits to your local law enforcement?
My daily commute requires I drive through some of the most congested areas of the country. But up in certain parts, in between the major highways, the drive is quite pleasant. The roads undulating up and down, while tacking left and right, as if sailing a course in a tight race. I often find myself focusing on what I remember my car dealer saying about the “performance characteristics of [my] vehicle”. NO MORE!(more…)

Over 9,500 Reported Missing in One Japanese Coastal Town
Over 9,500 people are “unaccounted for” in just one town, Minamisanriku – roughly half the town’s population. This drives the potential casualty count well above the 2,500 already confirmed dead by Japanese officials. Sad as this is, the story gets worse, much worse: (more…)

Catalonia, a semi-autonomous area located in the north eastern part of Spain that includes Barcelona, the nation’s second largest city (and most interesting), has voted to ban bullfighting. Bullfighting and the Matador (translation: “the killer”), has been a fixture of traditional Spanish culture for centuries. At least for this part of Spain, bullfighting will come to an end in 2012 – coincidently, the same year that the Mayans told the Spanish Conquistadors a series of cataclysmic or transformative events will occur ending the world as they would know it.
