Dillon in, Snyder up

State House Speaker Andy Dillon officially joined the Democratic primary field Sunday, launching his campaign at an engine factory outside of Detroit. Dillon, who is socially conservative and lacks a strong relationship with labor, led all Democratic candidates in a recent EPIC-MRA poll. Businessman Rick Snyder -- who recently went on the air with ads billing himself "one tough nerd" -- has moved into third place in the GOP primary, according to EPIC-MRA. He now takes 12 percent of the vote to 27 percent for Rep. Pete Hoekstra and 21 percent for state Attorney General Mike Cox. (more of the article)
